We are a small agency currently exploring the option of contracting with an external firm to develop our Personnel Rules, as we lack the internal capacity to dedicate the necessary time and resources to this effort.
Has anyone gone through a similar process? If so, could you share which firm you worked with and whether you found the experience and outcome to be worthwhile?
Thank you.
Hello - Our County is looking into electronic timekeeping. What digital systems or software are your Counties using to record, track, and manage employee work hours? Thank you
Hi all! Tuolumne Co. is preparing for our first Health Benefits Fair in many years. While we have a lot of great ideas on the table, I'd love to hear of anything you've done in your counties that attendees/employees really liked or enjoyed at your health fairs or if you've attended something similar and have any insights. I'd appreciate seeing anything that comes up for you! THNX
First and foremost - swag. Our employees and retirees love free stuff from the vendors. They also enjoy interactive activities like Skin Cancer screenings, basic vision and hearing tests, and flu shots. If you have the space to have an area where people can participate in mini activities such as Yoga, Pilates, a stress management class, etc., we have had success with those. If you are asking your vendors to attend, I would also have them bring flyers on programs their plans offers that people may not know about like discount program for fitness memberships, education classes offered by the health plans. Good luck!!
Thank you, Karen. I appreciate your feedback and willingness to share the success of the project once completed.
