Personnel Issues shared with Board of Supervisors
Good afternoon, I had an issue come up today with the chair of the Board of Supervisors. Last week we had an item in closed session regarding threat of litigation. It was directly related to a personnel issue that involved an intense investigation, the person being out on FMLA along with some other issues. The Chair was extremely upset that this situation was not discussed previously with the board and stated moving forward these items should be shared with the board as they come up. I just wanted to get your thoughts on this situation/issue and see how you handle these items in your counties. Thanks!

Mendocino County handles similar to what Margarita stated in her comments, only difference is that our County Counsel brings forward threat of litigation regardless of what the cost may be
